Hillsdale College's Law Enforcement Constitution Course

January 19-20, 2026 and January 22-23, 2026 (Two sessions)

Hillsdale College’s Law Enforcement Constitution Course (LECC) and the associated trainer-certification process, which includes experiencing the course as a student, conducting a deep dive into constitutional concepts, and completing a teach-back workshop. The LECC itself surveys American political theory, emphasizing natural rights, social compact, consent, and the historical events leading to the Declaration of Independence. It explains how these principles shaped early state laws, the Articles of Confederation, and ultimately the U.S. Constitution with its enumerated powers and rights. The course concludes by addressing conflicts between local law and constitutional principles, including conscience considerations and the Supremacy Clause. This course is free to attendees, and lodging and lunches can be provided. 8 hours Wyoming POST hours.
