We are excited to announce a great training opportunity in August for current and aspiring law enforcement leaders across the state. Hosted in-person in Cheyenne and spanning the week of August 3-7, this comprehensive training program is developed and instructed by active law enforcement leaders from across the state.
WASCOP brought you the IACP Leadership in Police Organizations (LPO) in 2024, which gave students the theoretical basis for leadership. Now our members are bringing you the practical side of leading deputies and officers in real-world Wyoming situations.
The training is POST certified and will include policy design, accountability and culture, communication, Use of Force decision-making and review, tactical leadership, and critical incident leadership, among other topics.
It is offered at no cost and the Cheyenne PD has secured free lodging at the Cheyenne Fire Training Center. The only cost to agencies will be the student's time, travel and meals.
Please see the flyer and reach out to Captain David Janes for inquiries or registration. (djanes@cheyennepd.org)
